Now, deputies are trying to figure out who those people were, and how they died. The Gunnison County Sheriff’s Office says a hiker found the skeletal remains of one person Sunday, then authorities discovered the other two Monday, after being contacted by the shaken hiker. The first body had been near a campfire site, the other 2 in a nearby tent. Authorities say those people’s remains may have been there as long as a year. Their location was so remote, not many people regularly pass by it. As officials begin their investigation into the deaths and whom those people had been, they don’t suspect any foul play.
