It happened back in February, when Fountain Officer Julian Becerra was one of several pursuing a group in a stolen car. Becerra ran after one suspect, Darrin Bobian, then fell off that bridge. Becerra died in a hospital more than a week later. At the time, investigators couldn’t tell if he’d slipped from the bridge or been pushed. Now, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says Bobian is facing second-degree murder charges for Becerra’s death. He’s been behind bars, tied to another crime.
