A plan is being formulated for massive landslide…
An area in Orchard Mesa west of the 29 Road Bridge suffered a massive landslide in late June, and officials are still unsure what to do about it. The landslide has been fenced off and specialists have been called in to assess the stability of the area. Estimates say the landslide was around 350 feet long and 30-40 feet wide. Experts are still weighing their options about how to stabilize the bank, and gave a warning to boaters in that area of the Colorado River to stay away from the landslide for safety reasons.
