Search and rescue crews followed footprints in the snow, to rescue a hiker who got stuck in a storm, wearing just a cotton hoodie…
(Missing Hiker Found in Snow :25)
That incident happened last Wednesday night near Cottonwood Lake, southwest of Buena (BYOO-nuh) Vista. Two dozen Chaffee (CHAY-fee) County Search and Rescue members were out looking for the person during that storm. Five hours after the call for help came in, they saw footprints in the snow, and came across what they first thought was an odd-looking rock. It turned out that was the missing hiker. They lowered that person down the mountain with ropes, and got them to a local hospital. No further word was issued about that person’s condition.
