Denver nearly lost by missing a last-second field goal, but the Bills had too many men on the field, so the orange got a do-over from 5 yards closer, and Wil Lutz put it right down the middle the second time.  Earlier, on a 4th-down pass from Russell Wilson to the end zone in the 2nd quarter, Courtland Sutton did a beautiful job of getting his toes down in the end zone for a touchdown to put Denver up 9 to nothing, eventually leading 15 to 8 at halftime.  In the 4th, Wilson tossed the ball to Javonte Williams for another TD to take a 21-15 lead, but the Bills countered with quarterback Josh Allen running the ball in to go up 22-21.  But as time ran out, that 2nd-chance field goal went through for the victory, 24-22.  Wilson was relieved and encouraged by the win…

It’s the Broncos’ first Monday Night Football victory in 11 years.  Next weekend, it’ll be a Sunday night game as Denver entertains the Minnesota Vikings.

It had been a long run of misery on Monday Night Football for the Broncos, 11 years without a victory on the national showcase, but they pulled it off last night, the final 24-22 on a last-second field goal.  After missing the potential game-winner from 41 yards away, a too-many-men-on-the-field penalty against Buffalo gave the Broncos another chance, and kicker Wil Lutz got to do it over for the win, from 5 yards closer.  He didn’t expect to sleep much last night…

Quarterback Russell Wilson was 24 of 29 passing in the game for 193 yards and 2 touchdowns, with no interceptions.  Sunday night, the Broncos will host the Minnesota Vikings.
