Many meteorologists are now calling for one of the first significant snowstorms of the season to move into Colorado, likely by late tonight and into Thursday…
(Winter Wx Coming :28)
Ahead of a cold front, much of Colorado will see another warm, windy day today, with high fire danger in the southeast corner of the state. Clouds are expected to move in from the northwest this afternoon, with the front range maybe getting some light rainshowers. Over high mountain locations like Rabbit Ears Pass near Steamboat Springs, however, snow is likely to begin falling. In fact a winter weather advisory has been posted for that part of the state, from 6:00 tonight until 6 Friday morning, with 4 to 10 inches of snow possible, driven at times by wind gusts above 50 miles an hour.
