Several injured Broncos were reportedly back at practice Wednesday, including Barrett Browning and PJ Locke. Justin Simmons, Josey Jewell, and Mike Purcell also returned, but were described as “limited” in how much they could practice.
The Broncos also say they’ll cut linebacker Randy Gregory if they can’t find another NFL team to trade him to. Gregory was pulled from the lineup last weekend in Chicago, replaced by 2nd-year man Nick Bonitto (boh-NEE-toh), who played well. Even if released however, Gregory will still be rich– he has 14 million dollars for this year and 5 million for next, guaranteed from the contract he signed a year ago.
And the team will be wearing its new white, or “snow-capped” helmets, with the classic “D” logo on each side, when it plays the Jets this Sunday.
