This weekend a lot of the college football attention nationwide will focus on Colorado, and the Rocky Mountain Showdown, with CSU and CU playing each other for the first time since 2019. Two national TV shows will originate from the Buff’s Boulder campus, and it’s the first time the matchup features two African-American head coaches, Jay Norvell (nor-VEHL) and Deion Sanders…
230913 Norvell Sanders :25 Q:…for him, truly…
It’ll be the first time ESPN’s College Gameday will come from Boulder since 1996, and the first time Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff program will originate from a game that network’s not broadcasting. Kickoff is 8:00 Saturday night, 10:00 eastern time, on ESPN.
On the diamond, it had been 3 ½ weeks since the Rockies had won a series, but Wednesday Colorado hit 4 homers at Coors Field, and knocked off the Cubs 7 to 3 to capture the series. The Giants visit the Rockies next, beginning tonight.
