Colorado weather cooled off a bit for the game Sunday, but in parts of the high country, there was a sign of the season to come…
(Winter Wx Coming :32)
Snow flurries were captured on video by hikers on Mount Democrat near Leadville (LEHD-vill) Sunday. 14-thousand foot peaks like that one usually get the state’s first dustings heading into the winter. Forecasters say a system moving across the state last night may have dropped more snow in some of the state’s highest locations. Much of the front range got some needed rain Sunday and overnight, as well. Many of the showers were in communities like Bailey, Castle Rock, Monument, and points farther south. Another wave of rain swept through Georgetown, Fairplay and parts of the Denver area overnight, mostly south of I-70. Areas that get showers may have some of them hanging around until about midday today.
