The Broncos lost their 2nd straight preseason game narrowly again Saturday night, this time 21-20 to the 49ers in San Francisco. But some good news was that bruising running back Javonte (juh-VAHN-tay) Williams was back in uniform for the first time in almost a year, after tearing an ACL in the 4th regular-season game last season. He ran the ball 3 times and caught 4 passes, and felt good about being back out there…
230821 J Williams- glad to be back for Broncos :10 Q:…right back up…
There was bad current injury news for Denver, however- when catching a first-half pass Saturday, receiver Jalen Virgil tore the meniscus in one of his knees, and had to be driven off the field. No word on just how long he’ll be out after surgery, but the team thinks he may be able to return this season.Baseball Sunday had the Rockies hosting the White Sox at Coors Field. Chicago scored 7 runs in the 8th inning, to win 10 to 5. Colorado still won the series, however.
