You won’t be able to use a MasterCard debit card to buy marijuana in Colorado anymore…
The company says because the sale of pot is still illegal nationwide, despite having been legalized in Colorado, those purchases can’t be allowed. MasterCard is telling banks to stop allowing cannabis buys on its debit cards. Businesses that sell weed say if they have to go back to “cash only,” that’ll just increase the risk of robbery and violent crime.
