The Rockies’ lineup has changed significantly, with deals made just before Major League Baseball’s trade deadline of tomorrow, August 1st.  Colorado has traded first baseman C.J. Cron (KROHN) and outfielder Randall Grichuk (GRITCH-ihk) to the LA Angels, in exchange for right-handed pitcher Jake Madden and lefty Mason Albright.  They’re the Angels’ Number 8 and 28 prospects, respectively, according to MLB.com.  Madden’s 21 years old, a 4th-round pick last year.  Albright is 20, and was drafted in the 12th round 2 years ago.

Before all that action happened, there was a game Sunday at Coors Field, Colorado hosting the A’s.  Denver native Ty Blach (block) got the start on the mound, throwing 5 scoreless innings at Oakland, allowing only 3 hits, striking out 2 batters and walking only 1.  The Rockies win it 2 to nothing, and Manager Bud Black says Blach will get another start this week against the Cardinals.
