Saturday, the team’s volunteers were out to help each of those parties– one at Herman’s Gulch; another on St. Mary’s Glacier; and the 3rd, that child, near Kingston Peak. That young boy had fallen and injured a leg. The good news is all those folks were mostly all right– they just needed assistance getting off their respective mountains. The Alpine Rescue Team gets some help of its own next weekend, with a fundraiser, the Evergreen Town Race, bringing in cash to keep the team going. Those 5 and 10k races will twist down Upper Bear Creek, then finish near Evergreen Lake.
