USA Cycling says 17-year-old Magnus White was training for the World Championships to be held in Scotland next month, then simply riding home, when he was hit by a car. White had been a rising star in the off-road cycling world, and had just made the mountain bike World Championship team. As of late last night, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office hadn’t yet offered reporters any details about that crash.
