The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment announced two new provisions for paid sick leave taking effect in August. In the event of a death in the family or a close friend, you can now take time off to attend funerals and other affairs. Additionally other unexpected events such as bad weather or a power outage could qualify for paid sick time. These new changes will be active come August 7th.
