(J Crown Death Info :39)
The document says on his 70th birthday, the billionaire philanthropist was driving a single-seat car called a “Spec Racer” with a 165-horsepower engine, when the vehicle hit a tire barricade, backed by a concrete wall at an out-of-the-way facility called the Aspen Motorsports Park. That’s said to have led directly to Crown’s death. The late managing partner of the Aspen Skiing Company, which owns not only the 4 Pitkin County mountain resorts but numerous hotels and more, was said to be no stranger to such race cars. He enjoyed driving them on a regular basis, and once owned a Ferrari. Crown had been enjoying the day with family and friends when his car hit that wall. First responders administered CPR and more at the scene, but they weren’t able to save him.
