Some CSU students are suing to get their money back from the university, after it shut down in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic…
(CSU Being Sued for Refunds vxr :30)
The state Court of Appeals is letting their action move forward. The students argue CSU should’ve refunded their tuition and other fees when the Fort Collins campus shut down in early 2020, since they didn’t get the in-person college experience they’d expected. The judge has decided the university was within its rights to close the campus, but also says the students or former students still have a right to make their case. The University of Colorado system agreed to a similar suit in April of this year, refunding about 5 million dollars worth of fees the school collected in the spring of 2020.
