Star guard Jamal Murray is now expected to be out of the Nuggets’ lineup the rest of this month, healing a hamstring strain he suffered last Saturday against the Bulls. Denver hosted Steph Curry and the Warriors last night, and Denver led throughout, eventually edging Golden State 108 to 105. Sunday, the Nuggets visit the Rockets in Houston.
CU women’s basketball was back home in Boulder last night, hosting the Dolphins of Lemoyne, and the 20th-ranked Buffs had no trouble posting a second straight win after shocking Number 1 LSU in last weekend’s season opener. The final after Colorado led by 31 at halftime, 97 to 38.
CSU Rams tight end Dallin Holker has been named a finalist for college football’s John Mackey Award, recognizing the top tight ends in the college game. Former Ram Trey McBride won it 2 years ago. Holker currently leads the nation in catches and receiving yards, and is second in touchdowns. The winner will be named December 8th.
