231107 S McClain- no progress without accountability :10 Q:…is not seen…
Elijah McClain’s mother, Sheneen McClain, saying the latest verdict regarding her son’s 2019 death isn’t justice, but is a delusion. Elijah died days after being put in a neck hold by Woodyard that cut off oxygen to his brain, pinned to the ground by Woodyard and other officers, and injected with the sedative ketamine (KEHT-uh-meen). McClain had done nothing wrong, but the initial 911 caller, who’s never been identified, claimed he looked “sketchy” walking home with a bag of 3 iced teas. Woodyard, who could now get his police job back, is the second officer to be acquitted of causing McClain’s death. The case’s 3rd trial, of the paramedics who sedated Elijah, is coming up on the 27th of this month.

Woodyard put McClain in a neck hold that cut off oxygen to his brain before paramedics injected him with the sedative ketamine. Elijah’s mother Sheneen McClain says the system let her down…
231107 S McClain- only one conviction so far :14 Q:…they are delusional…
So far, the only person convicted of a crime for Elijah’s death has been ex-officer Randy Roedema (roh-DEE-muh), found guilty last month of criminally negligent homicide and assault. He could go to prison for 6 years, but could also get probation.
