Today, the school board there will discuss potentially selling off one shuttered campus in Lakewood. The former Emory Elementary closed at the end of last school year, as part of the district’s plan to deal with lower enrollment. The Jeffco district says there are enough schools in that neighborhood, so it doesn’t need the building anymore. The district’s proposing to either sell the buildings, or lease them for some other purpose.
