Forecasters hope you enjoyed the extremely warm fall Colorado’s had this year, because winter’s expected to really slam the state in the next few days…
(Changing CO Wx vxr :34)
Daytime highs by next Monday could be as much as 50 degrees colder than what you’re seeing today, and much of the state’s probably going to have snow to go with them. The front range and a lot more Coloradoans have had one of the 5 warmest Octobers on record, with the last 9 days showing temperatures well above normal. All that’s expected to change after today and into this weekend, with hard freezes across most of the state Saturday and Sunday nights. A big system of low pressure is expected to make it all happen, moving in from the northwest. Denver’s high temperature Sunday is only expected to reach about 35 degrees, with snowfall possible, after a sunny 74 today.
