Investigators say that crime ring was pretty sophisticated, as they “re-programmed” modern-day car keys to steal those vehicles. The indictment says the group stole almost 60 cars, between February of 2022 and March of this year, a span of 13 months. The vehicles taken were mostly pickup trucks, many of them with the Ford brand, stolen from Denver International Airport lots and other front range locations.
