One of the few bright spots for Denver was Justin Simmons intercepting what KC thought would be an easy touchdown pass for Patrick Mahomes. It was the 4th time he’d picked off Mahomes over their careers. Denver was behind all game long, scoreless for the great majority of it, until Russell Wilson completed a touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton in the 4th quarter. The game ended with the Broncos trying to drive, but running back Samaje Perine (suh-MAH-jay PEE-rine) fumbled after catching a short Wilson pass. Denver drops to 1 & 5 for the season with the loss.
