Crews in Colorado Springs were trying last night to clear a major mess from the southeastern side of the city, where a train carrying dozens of military vehicles derailed. It happened off East Las Vegas Street, not far from I-25. Police say about 10 cars ran off the tracks, each of them carrying 2 or 3 vehicles like Humvees and other big trucks. It wasn’t clear last night exactly what caused the derailment. Officers say there were no hazardous materials or weapons involved in the crash.
