Some services were briefly suspended Sunday morning at the state’s biggest airport, Denver International…
(TSA Glitch at DIA :32)
That was due to a false alarm, that came from the Transportation Security Administration. A TSA officer saw an archived image of a gun, but thought it was a more recent, even a current, picture. So that person started the airport’s protocol for real emergencies. Passenger screenings stopped for 6 minutes, until someone at TSA realized the image had been an old one. During that time, however, the Denver airport’s trains between concourses were shut down, causing a huge backup. It was a difficult weekend for that airport, when just one of those trains getting stuck for 10 minutes led to another big backup of thousands of travelers not being able to move.
