Ice Castles are coming back to the state…

They’re moving out of Summit County, however, and down to Cripple Creek, west of Colorado Springs. It’ll take a team of about 20 ice artisans 8 weeks to create the ice castles. They’re planning to start that work late next month or in early November. There will also be 3 other locations this year— one in Utah, another in Minnesota, and one in New Hampshire. Cripple Creek is no stranger to ice-related events, however. The town holds an ice festival, with many sculptures on hand, in February each year.
