Brooky Parks says she lost her job at the High Plains Library District after she was told to cancel several programs she ran for LGBTQ teens, and youth of color. She expressed concerns about that, then within just weeks, was terminated. Now, in that settlement, Parks will get a quarter-million dollars from the district. She says before getting fired, she’d only tried to serve all members of her community.
