The final weekend of summer 2023 is over, but forecasters say even as fall begins this week, Colorado weather should still seem summer-like for a bit…
(Leaf Season in CO :30)
In the coming week, meteorologists say Colorado should still have very nice temperatures, certainly at lower elevations like on the front range where temps will reach the low 80’s today, but in the mountains some leaves have already started to change color, and at the very highest elevations there were a few snowflakes last week. The season actually changes this coming Saturday with the autumnal equinox. Many forecasters already think there’s at least another week, maybe 10 days, before peak leaf color hits the northern and central high country… some should remain visible in the southern part of the state for a while after that.
