CSU football Coach Jay Norvell said earlier in the week he respected CU’s Deion Sanders a lot, but then said he’d take a hat and sunglasses off before talking to people. “Coach Prime” responded Thursday that Norvell had now made things “personal” between them, giving his team “ammunition” for Saturday’s Rocky Mountain Showdown. And the Rams will be installing a new redshirt freshman quarterback to start the game, Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi. He’s previously started one Rams game before– last season’s victory over Nevada, which was Norvell’s first CSU win.
The Broncos had receiver Jerry Jeudy back at full speed in practice Thursday, making it appear more likely he’ll play Sunday after his hamstring injury. That’s expected to dramatically open up Denver’s offense as it takes on the Washington Commanders.
Last night’s Giants-Rockies game at Coors Field was rained out. It’ll be made up in a split doubleheader Saturday.
