CPW’s carved a million dollars out of its budget to try and reduce encounters with bears, giving communities resources for things like bear-proof trash cans. 14 groups out of 20 who’ve recently made requests have gotten some of that state money. Anyone can qualify for those grants, simply by presenting the state a plan.
