The Broncos have started making cuts following their final pre-season game Saturday night, a 41 to nothing pasting of the Rams at Empower Field. History was made for the Rockies Sunday– Bud Black became only the 12th manager in Major League Baseball to manage a thousand games, with at least 2 different teams. Before joining the Rockies in 2017, he’d also done it with the Padres. In the contest at Baltimore, Colorado topped the Orioles, 4 to 3. They got it done with native Denver pitcher Ty Blach (block) throwing 7 strong innings, a 3-hitter in which he allowed only 1 earned run, and struck out 7 batters, a career high.
