Closing arguments were made Thursday in the trial of Jordan Steinke (STINE-key).  Video from that night last September shows Steinke walking on the train tracks, right next to railroad crossing signs, as she handcuffed Yareni Rios.  Steinke left Rios in that police car that was parked on the tracks by another officer, and later the train came through.  Rios survived, but is still struggling with her injuries.  Steinke and her attorneys claimed she was oblivious to the tracks, because she was focused on the chance that Rios might’ve had a gun, which she didn’t.  Prosecutors didn’t buy that argument.  Now it’s up to the judge, who’s expected to render his verdict today.
