The state vehicles were parked along the side of I-270 in Adams County as the troopers were looking into that previous wreck, when a driver hit one of the patrol cars. Moments later, a second vehicle crashed into the other. CSP says the trooper who’s now in a Denver area hospital ended up getting pushed over a bridge barrier, and down a 30-foot embankment, suffering serious but not life-threatening injuries. CSP says both drivers who crashed into its vehicles were impaired at the time.
