That comes after teams combed the wilderness near Durango for more than 3 weeks, trying to find hiker Ian O’Brien. He seems to have disappeared, having last been seen on the 23rd of last month after reaching the summit of Hesperus Mountain. Since then, friends, volunteers, and law enforcers have fanned out over more than 12 thousand acres of backcountry, trying to find him. O’Brien had been known to have epilepsy. He’d had his medication with him when he set out on his climb, but friends and family are now worried he might’ve had a seizure that left him disoriented or worse… incapacitated.
