While central parts of the state were roasting in high temperatures Thursday, other areas had to deal with rough weather…

Thunderstorms raced across the southeastern plains.  Towering clouds could be seen from many miles away.  A tornado touchdown was reported in Lincoln County, where Hugo is the county seat.  There were no reports of damage.  Much of Colorado is expecting lower temperatures today, but there still could be storm activity in places, through tomorrow.
