Lines at Denver’s Empower Field for those who want to hear Taylor Swift’s upcoming concerts are being allowed to start forming this morning at 7:00…
(Taylor Lineups, Scam Warning :
Hundreds of hard-core fans, or “Swifties,” are expected to be at the front of those lines. And a special “merch truck” arrives today as well, with all kinds of Taylor items available from 10 ‘til 7 today, at the stadium’s Gate 2. One woman, a mom from Denver, reports having lost a thousand dollars in a ticket scam as she tried to buy them on social media. The woman named Carrie says a close friend texted her that another friend had found and was selling 3 Swift tickets at face value, 350 dollars each. After Carrie sent about a thousand dollars, she learned that her real friend’s “other” friend wasn’t the actual person, but a hacker who’d gotten into that woman’s Facebook account. So her money’s gone, and Carrie’s daughter who just turned 11 won’t be seeing Taylor live. The state Attorney General’s office put out an advisory this week warning of potential scams surrounding the Swift performance. Key advice is to research ticket sellers first… be cautious about social media sales… and be especially skeptical if the seller wants you to get them the money over Venmo or CashApp.
