Most of that home was reportedly destroyed, and nearby neighbors were forced to evacuate. The blast occurred on Little Fox Lane, not far from I-25. One side of the house is now missing, the garage door’s mangled, and all the windows were blown out, but no one was inside at the time, and even the family’s 2 dogs were rescued, and have survived. Wellington Fire says the residents of that house were fortunate not to have been home at the time, and firefighters quickly knocked out several small blazes. After the neighborhood was evacuated, all nearby residents were able to return home last night. While the explosion was likely natural gas-related, firefighters officially say it’s still being looked into.
