Dr Barbara Zind (ZINND) is a pediatrician, who’d been on her 10th mission to Gaza, treating children including premature babies for numerous ailments. The current war there started just one day after she arrived on her latest trip in early October, and it took more than a month for Zind to work her way south of the border with Egypt, sleeping in multiple unusual locations, and most importantly, avoiding the bombs that have regularly been dropping…

Zind finally got to Egypt about a week and a half ago, to fly back to Colorado. She’s back home with family members in Grand Junction now, but still says she’d “love” to return to Gaza to keep caring for children there. Dr. Zind admits she’d have to get her family onboard with that idea before going again.
