231103 NG Plea and Sally Glass :08 Q:…kidding me?…
That’s victim Christian Glass’ mother Sally, referring to Andrew Buen (BYOO-ehn), who’s accused of second-degree murder after shooting her son 5 times in the chest, in the summer of ’22 in Silver Plume. Buen entered that not-guilty plea in court Thursday, which sets up a potentially month-long trial. Buen’s ex-supervisor, Kyle Gould, is the one who appears ready to admit guilt in a plea deal. When Christian called for help after his car got stuck on a boulder, multiple officers surrounded Glass, who’d done nothing wrong, and Buen eventually killed him. Gould had been monitoring the situation remotely, and gave the order to break into Glass’ car, which led to the shooting. He’s charged with criminally negligent homicide and reckless endangerment. Details of his plea agreement are expected later this month.
