The Garfield County Republican has sent a letter to the IRS, saying in part, in these words, “I urge the IRS not to turn away from this well-established precedent, which spans over 3 decades. It is of utmost importance that we work together to eliminate the current uncertainty surrounding this issue.” The rest of the state’s Congressional delegation also wrote the IRS Commissioner, in a similar tone, back in February.
