The Pentagon is reportedly telling the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs to make changes, and stop hazing…

The Gazette newspapers report a Defense Department review found many freshman cadets saying the school can often feel like a prison. The review says freshmen at the Academy aren’t even acknowledged by their peers as cadets, amid unprofessional leadership, hazing, and harassment that would be unacceptable in other environments. The cadets told evaluators they feel like they can’t seek physical or mental healthcare on campus, and it’s difficult to get transportation off-campus. The Gazette reached out to the academy’s officials for comment, but didn’t get a response to that federal report.
