The Broncos play their first 2023 pre-season game against the Cardinals in Arizona tonight. New Coach Sean Payton, who had great success building the Saints into a powerhouse with quarterback Drew Brees several years ago, is now expected to rebuild the career of Russell Wilson, who’ll play for a while tonight along with other starters. Kickoff is expected around 8 mountain time this evening.
The coming season’s NBA schedule is starting to leak out. “The Athletic” reports the league champion Nuggets will host the Lakers, one of the clubs they eliminated in the Western Conference Finals on the way to their first title last spring, on opening night this fall, October 24th. Denver will unveil its championship banner that night, as well. The Athletic also reports the champs will host a Christmas Day game, against the Golden State Warriors.
The Rockies visited the Dodgers in LA last night. Starting pitcher and Denver native Ty Blach (block) made his 3rd straight start and went 6 innings for Colorado, giving up only 1 earned run. The Rocks’ Elhuris (el-her-EESS) Montero belted his 4th home run of the year to left field, but it wasn’t enough… Dodgers win 2 to 1. The series continues tonight.
