That jury found Robin Niceta (nye-SEAT-uh) guilty on two charges\u2014 false reporting of child abuse, and attempting to influence a public servant. Last year, Niceta called an abuse hotline, making false claims about Councilwoman Danielle Jurinsky, saying she\u2019d sexually abused her son. That came after Jurinsky had gone on a radio talk show and called Niceta\u2019s partner at the time, ex-Aurora Police Chief Vanessa Wilson, \u201ctrash.\u201d An investigation found there was no abuse by Councilwoman Jurinsky\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Niceta was taken directly to jail after Tuesday\u2019s court hearing. She\u2019ll be officially sentenced in January, and could get as long as 6 years in prison. She\u2019s also accused of faking a cancer diagnosis to avoid prosecution in the case. There are 10 charges against Niceta on that one.
