CDOT reopened the southbound lanes of the interstate Wednesday afternoon, and it expects the northbound side to reopen today. It\u2019s been learned that the railroad had inspected those tracks just hours before the derailment and crash last Sunday. But federal investigators say one rail had been broken, and may have caused the whole incident. The Burlington Northern & Santa Fe railroad says its employees inspected the rails there multiple times in the past 3 months, using several different forms of testing. The railroad didn\u2019t say what kind of test it did on Sunday, shortly before a coal train left the track and crushed trucker LaFollette Henderson.
