A procession was held in the Springs late last night, as numerous law enforcers escorted the late parole officer\u2019s body from a hospital. Corrections Department Director Andre Stancil (STAN-sihl) says it was too early last evening to release the late officer\u2019s name, because family members were still being notified\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colorado Springs Police say about 4 Thursday afternoon, a driver named Justin Kula (KOO-luh), ran over the pair and drove away. It wasn\u2019t clear whether they\u2019d contacted him before the crash that occurred near I-25 and Bijou. Kula was arrested about 7:30 last night, but authorities didn\u2019t say where. The second officer who was hit was in a Springs hospital, but there wasn\u2019t any word on his condition.
