Thursday, Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser (WISE-uhr) announced a settlement with Choice Hotels, a company that had been accused of doing exactly that. Choice owns multiple brands, including Comfort Suites, Rodeway Inn, and Country Inn & Suites. Weiser\u2019s office says the company misrepresented room rates and mandatory fees, and did something called \u201cdrip pricing.\u201d That\u2019s where you keep learning about new fees while going through each step of the booking process. With the new settlement, Choice Hotels will now have to inform customers about not only the rates, but all those fees, up front\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
