Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park closed for a couple hours Monday morning due to snow, ice, and poor visibility. Long\u2019s Peak was also shrouded in clouds for much of the day. While some think that was a bit early for snow, meteorologists say for that location, the wintry look actually showed up about 3 weeks late, since the season\u2019s first snow on Trail Ridge usually arrives around mid-August or so. They say there\u2019s also another chance for a shot of mountain snow at the highest elevations, later this week. On the front range and in much of the state, temperatures only warmed into the upper 60\u2019s and lower 70\u2019s Monday. The 11th<\/sup> also marked 10 years since Colorado\u2019s widespread, devastating heavy rains and flooding of 2013. Some places saw a year\u2019s worth of rain in only a few days that September.
