An experienced rafter has died, having fallen out of his raft in the Pyrite Rapids of the Colorado River, in unincorporated Grand County\u2019s Gore Canyon, near Kremmling\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Union Pacific Railroad helped first responders get to the victim, with access achieved through use of a high-rail truck. The 38-year-old man had been with a group, and wearing a helmet and life jacket when he fell overboard. The rafting group had put in at the confluence of the Blue River and the Colorado. Grand County Search & Rescue responded along with the local Sheriff\u2019s office and Flight for Life. When the man was pulled from the water, he wasn\u2019t breathing, and unfortunately the multiple rescuers were unable to revive him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
