The Sheriff\u2019s office responded to calls of a shooting in a park, close to Bennett Elementary. It happened about 5:30 Tuesday evening, when several families were on the campus for a volleyball match. While no one was actually shot in the incident, officers found shell casings in the park. They eventually took the students who were at the elementary school over to Bennett High School while the investigation was conducted. Almost everyone was allowed to go home by about 8:00 last night. Deputies did take 2 people into custody, however. The school district says the incident was scary enough for the families and kids involved, it\u2019s having all students stay home today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
