That\u2019s said to be prep work for improvements along the interstate between Evergreen and Idaho Springs, coming over the next 5 years. Cars are held at least 20 minutes, with no detours or alternate routes available. It\u2019s not only a problem for drivers, but for local residents who haven\u2019t been able to get onto the interstate as easily as they used to. The Clear Creek County Commissioners express sympathy for their residents, but they can\u2019t do anything about the issue. They do urge folks to sign up for text alerts to have a better idea on the timing.
